WOMEN AND CHILDREN
Lack of research on women and children represents another health inequity and inefficiency. Research has historically been conducted on male populations, particularly those of European descent. Researchers have failed to understand the full complement of human diversity in social science research and consequently knowledge is limited about policy interventions among female populations, particularly women and children of color. Results of this lack of understanding are obstacles to health equity and efficiency.
